After more than six years with Shrewsbury Food Hub, our CEO, Tammy Bloodworth, will be moving on to a new opportunity.

Since joining the charity in May 2020, Tammy has helped guide the organisation through a period of significant growth, building partnerships, developing new opportunities and ensuring the Food Hub continued to deliver on its mission of reducing food waste and supporting our community.

Reflecting on her time at the Hub, Tammy said:

“I love the ethos of the extended family of the Food Hub. Together we have created something quite spectacular in our little corner of Shrewsbury. The energy of the volunteers and their passion for being a huge part of our vision is what gets me up in the morning. Seeing good food saved from waste and put to good use in our community is something I’ll always be proud of.”

As Tammy prepares to leave, we would like to thank her for her leadership, commitment and support over the past six years.

Jo Powell, Chair of Trustees, said:

“Tammy has led Shrewsbury Food Hub through a remarkable period in our history. Under her leadership, the organisation has grown in reach, strengthened partnerships and increased its impact across the community, while remaining true to its mission of reducing food waste and supporting local people.

As we celebrate our tenth anniversary this November, we are not only reflecting on how far we have come but also looking ahead to the future. Thanks to the dedication of our staff, volunteers, supporters and partners, the Food Hub is in a strong position and well placed to continue making a positive difference over the next ten years.

On behalf of the Trustees, I would like to thank Tammy for her commitment, passion and leadership, and wish her every success in the future.”

From all at the Food Hub, thank you Tammy.
