We are delighted to announce the installation of a new electric vehicle charging point at our depot, thanks to the support of FastAmps of Shrewsbury.
The new charger will support our hybrid electric van, affectionately known as Roger, enabling it to be fully charged on site rather than relying on off-site charging facilities. Having a dedicated charging point at our depot on the Battlefield Enterprise Park means Roger can be charged conveniently and be ready for use seven days a week, reducing downtime and travel-related emissions, improving operational efficiency and helping us maximise the environmental benefits of this hybrid electric vehicle which was originally donated to us by the Freemasons of Shrewsbury.
The project was delivered through the collaboration of several local Shrewsbury businesses, with the charging point supplied by FastAmps, installed by Penguin MEP, and materials provided by Links Electrical. Being able to work with businesses based within our catchment area made this project particularly meaningful, helping to strengthen local partnerships and ensuring investment remains within Shrewsbury.
