The recipe was taken from Great British Chefs – they have lots of other ideas to deal with seasonal fruit gluts!

  • 8 plums
  • 4 tablespoons fruit juice (e.g passion, mango or a juice of your choice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 30g butter, diced
  • 2 tsp sugar
  1. Preheat oven to 190ºC/gas mark 5
  2. Cut the plums in half and remove the stones. Place the plums skin side down in an ovenproof dish and drizzle with the fruit juice
  3. Sprinkle the cinnamon, butter and sugar on top and bake in the oven for 10 minutes
  4. Remove plums from the oven and baste with the juices in the dish
  5. Serve with custard, creme fraiche, greek yoghurt or vanilla icecream. Also delicious on their own
