Shrewsbury Food Hub has teamed up with four churches to share surplus food over half term. Everyone is welcome at the #foodshare tables across the town.
Katy Anderson, project manager explained, “In the school holidays, lots of our regular groups are closed , so we really everyone’s help to give this good food a home. We expect to have 10 - 20 trays of bread, fruit and veg to share. We can never be sure how much food we’ll get, but please pop in before you shop as there’s bound to be something useful.
“We invite everyone to help us get this food eaten. Please bring a bag. Our #foodshare tables run on a Pay As You Feel basis, in other words there is an optional donation of a penny up. You can be sure of a warm welcome and a cup of tea if you have time to stop.
