Shrewsbury Food Hub has teamed up with four churches to share surplus food over the festive period, every week day except the Bank Holidays. Help us use up good, leftover food by popping into #foodshare before you shop. Don't forget to bring a bag!
Over the Christmas period there is much more leftover food at the supermarkets and lots of our regular groups are closed for the holidays, so we really need everyone’s help to give this good food a home. We can never be sure how much food we’ll have to share, but we're expecting to have lots especially after Christmas.
Our #foodshare tables run on a Pay As You Feel basis, in other words there is an optional donation of a penny up. Any donations will go the churches and the Food Hub. You can be sure of a warm welcome and a cup of tea if you have time to stop.
Please check our website and Facebook page for updates but #foodshare will be running at the following places and times:
Riversway Elim Church at Lancaster Rd, Harlescott, Shrewsbury SY1 3LE, 10am to 2pm on 24th, 27th, 28th, 31st December and 2nd, 3rd, 4th January.
