The Shrewsbury Food Hub is an environmental charity that started its fight against food waste in 2016. Our small army of volunteers power the redistribution of surplus food to our 50 plus partner groups and the wider community ensuring we get our rescued food into bellies and not bins!
We are currently looking for a suitably experienced Fundraising or Fundraising/Communication specialist to join our operations team. Working between 3-5 days per week, we offer an attractive salary of up to £28,000 dependent on hours and experience.
You will be an integral part of a small, vibrant team, working collaboratively with the Food Hub Manager, our volunteers and the Board of Trustees to secure funding from existing and new sources against the agreed fundraising plan
The charity is in a period of growth so we are looking for someone who is happy to come on board in a particularly busy time, be innovative and forward thinking and contribute positively to our onward journey.
This Full time role is offered on the basis of 3 days per week working on fundraising and 2 days per week across communications and social media .
We would be open to discussion with experienced applicants who wish to consider a blend of both roles, alternatively if you are an experienced Fundraiser looking for a part time role or reduced hours then we would welcome an informal discussion with you.
